Receptionist
The individual who fills this position demonstrates that they are capable of carrying out the following roles and responsibilities:
- Ability to present a professional manner to the public, co-workers, clients, and all other agencies as necessary including on the phone and in person.
- Ensure all phone calls are answered professionally, timely, and redirected accordingly.
- Facilitate all necessary form procedures that need to address all needs of the persons served.
- Maintain an orderly office environment.
- Must be able to maintain providers schedules, which includes rescheduling as needed and printing daily schedules.
- Maintain records of all scheduled, rescheduled, and canceled appointments accurately using the proper EMR procedures.
- Enter data on the computer as procedures indicate, including but not limited to, documentation of all communication from persons served daily.
- Facilitate insurance verification of persons appointments including verification of current authorizations.
- Responsible for assisting with the creation and maintenance of new, current, and discharged records.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Working telephone
- Possess a valid driver’s license or state identification
- Pass all regulatory checks
- Must obtain required trainings
- Possess reliable transportation
- Experience in a health care setting preferred
