Program Director-LMSW

The individual who fills this position demonstrates that he or she is capable of carrying out the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Projects a favorable image of the company to promote and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
  • Must ensure all standards, within the program guidelines, are met. This includes the development and implementation of the department’s policy and procedures and goals and objectives in conjunction of the business needs and the standards of CARF, MDHHS, and CMH.
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with agencies and organizations to meet community needs (contract relationships).
  • Analyze proposed legislation, regulations or rule changes to determine how agency services could be impacted.
  • Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives set by the Strategic Plan or Executive team.
  • Must be able to ensure a safe and healthy environment in a positive atmosphere for staff, contractors and persons served.
  • Recruit, Interview and hire of program staff including administrative staff, maintenance, records department, interns and contracted providers.
  • Performs all necessary supervisory functions effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel.
  • Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned; includes recommendations of salary adjustments, transfers, progressive discipline, promotions and dismissals.
  • Maintain a close, effective working relationship with the other program supervisors to effectively communicate problems and concerns regarding the program and administrative personnel. Team building coordination included.
  • Ensure all payroll standards are met.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with staff to assure progress through out the program.
  • Supervise and ensure all staff are meeting their job duties including providing performance evaluations for each staff.
  • Assist Human Resources to ensure all staff are up to date in CMH and corporate trainings and ensure credentialing documentation is being collected.
  • Must have the ability to delegate assignments as necessary for the overall flow of the daily operations.
  • Active Member of Leadership and Quality Improvement Team; attend monthly meetings.
  • Review financial statements, quality management reports or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Keeps CEO and COO promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.
  • Participate in the development and management of the program’s annual budget.
  • Oversee the development of staff schedules
  • Provide progressive discipline per Taylor Life Center's policy and procedure.
  • Must have the ability to accept constructive criticism, suggestions, and offer positive feedback
  • All other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working telephone
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Pass all regulatory checks
  • Must obtain required annual corporate trainings
  • Possess Reliable Personal Transportation
  • Masters degree in Social Work
  • LMSW state clinical license with credentials as a CMHP, QMHP, and QIDP at minimum
