DBT Therapist
The individual(s) who fills this position demonstrates that he or she is capable of carrying out the following roles and responsibilities:
- Ability to provide services via telehealth to consumers.
- Provide individual dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to adults and/or children, including participating as a DBT Group Facilitator.
- Diagnose client's by using DSM 5 and other standardized diagnostic tools.
- Assess client’s immediate functional impairments, including biopsychosocial information using standardized assessment tools and evaluations.
- Treat clients focusing on moving consumers through DBT stages of treatment, crisis planning, and improvement of quality of life functioning.
- Develop treatment plan using person-centered processes and client input to determine goals, objectives and adhere to DBT program implementation principles to meet evidence-based standards of DBT.
- Obtain other needed treatment and resources by making referrals as needed, including coordination of care with other treatment professionals, such as primary care physicians, psychiatrists and case managers.
- Monitor progress toward treatment goals by evaluating progress on a regular basis and adjusting treatment as needed.
- Educate family members by advising on the most appropriate and helpful roles they can fulfill in the treatment process; treating relationship issues with appropriate consents and releases of information.
- Maintain patient records by following protocols; adhering to timeliness, entering and updating data; maintaining case history and progress notes.
- Prepare clinical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing patient data and trends.
- Attend weekly DBT consultation meetings.
- Have a cell phone to be available to provide back-up coverage as needed for skills training, individual DBT and 24/7 DBT phone coaching, per DBT fidelity.
- Uphold recipient rights standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Working telephone
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass all regulatory checks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Masters degree conferred
- State licensure: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, TLLP, LLP, or LP
- DBT trained
