Receptionist

Job Location: Flint

The Receptionist will provide direct assistance to people served by Taylor Life Center. This role requires exceptional professionalism, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to present a professional manner to the public, co-workers, clients, and all other agencies as necessary including on the phone and in person.
  • Ensure all phone calls are answered professionally, timely, and redirected accordingly.
  • Facilitate all necessary form procedures to address all needs of the persons served
  • Update client demographic information at each appointment
  • Assist in completing all annual paperwork
  • Manage billing procedures including working out details of persons served payment plans
  • Maintain an orderly office environment
  • Compassionately address persons served triaged concerns (phone or face-to-face)
  • Offer customer satisfaction surveys
  • Manage incoming faxes and mail
  • Must be able to maintain appointment lists for all clinicians, which includes rescheduling as needed and printing daily schedules
  • Maintain records of all scheduled, rescheduled, and canceled appointments accurately using the proper EMR procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Perform confirmation calls daily
  • Inform clinicians of schedule changes throughout the day
  • Inform the clinician when persons served present
  • Backfill appointments when appropriate
  • Schedule follow up appointments
  • Enter client data on the computer as procedures identify, including documentation of all communication from persons served daily.
  • Insurance verification of client appointments including verification of current authorizations
  • Assist with discharged, new, and current client records
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualification & Education Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working telephone
  • Pass all regulatory checks
  • Must obtain required trainings
  • Experience in a health care setting preferred
